Whether you’re savoring the complex flavors of Thai Green Curry or Steamed Fish with Garlic, Chili & Lime, or enjoying a refreshing Greek Salad or a heart warming Pad Thai, your taste buds will be delighted by the diverse culinary offerings. Every day, you can have a discussion with our in-villa host to plan your menus, adding a unique and intimate touch to your dining experience.
How it Works
Our Chef and villa host liaise with the guests during the day to create the menu for the next day’s lunch and dinner. A variety of 4-5 different dishes is selected for every day. We often host meals in a tradition Thai way, which focuses on the concept of ‘family sharing’ where various dishes brought to the table to help yourself and pass along. Alternatively, Buffet is a perfect way to host a meal in order for guests to come at any time within the fining window and enjoy hot food.
Don’t worry there is always plenty of food to go around so those hungrier relations will get a second helping! An American breakfast with fresh fruits and juices is served every morning to suit both early and late risers. Usually a window of 8am to 10am works perfectly.
A galley kitchen is available for guests to make snacks and drinks throughout the day, so make sure to pre-order provisons and we will stock the fridge for your arrival
Should you wish to have a bartender, we can arrange one for you with some advance notice required.
Places to Dine
Villa Kalyana has a fine variety of dining areas that will complement your menu choices whatever the time of day. The main ‘long table’ dining room is designed for large ‘family and friends’ groups with seating for up to twenty-five guests. The large covered terrace of the Lotus wing offers space for over 50 guests on different table setups. For some greater intimacy, enjoy a candlelight dinner out by the beach, or in the lush garden under the soft lights and swaying palms while enjoying the sounds of the sea.
One of the highlights is a beach BBQ, set up from the staff directly by the beach, with a live BBQ station.
Places to Dine
Villa Kalyana features a range of dining areas to suit your meal preferences at any time of the day. The smaller dining room, known for its long dining table is ideal for large gatherings of family and friends, accommodating up to twenty-eight guests. Additionally, the spacious covered terrace in our Lotus wing provides seating for over 50 guests with flexible table arrangements.
A special highlight is the beachside BBQ experience, arranged by our dedicated staff, complete with a live BBQ station for a unique dining adventure.
Culinary Experiences
Our skilled chef and his team are adept at preparing a wide range of Thai and Western dishes, and can also cater to specific dietary preferences upon request.
Lunch and dinner adhere to a ‘family sharing’ or ‘Buffet’ concept, where an array of dishes are placed on the table or displayed for communal enjoyment.
For those interested in culinary exploration, you could have the opportunity to join a cooking class (external booking) and visit local markets to source fresh produce. Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of a bustling morning shopping, especially engaging in haggling with local vendors and selecting the finest ingredients.
